Tickets are 30euro per day for the first 3 days and 10euro for Monday.

FYI: Just some updates regarding Winter Work in The Hills Cricket Club and where we are at. Our Scorers Box has been removed and the footpads will be put in next week to receive the new box which will be our Office and Umpires Room that we have currently out the back of the clubhouse which will be finished off in a wood cladding befitting to it’s surroundings! This will increase the size of the Scorers Box and will facilitate all DLS in the one site with Umpires able to access the room which helps Umpires and Scorers discuss matters together. We did secure a Grant of €500.00 to help toward the cost of this project!
We will also be getting a prefab structure from Milverton NS in mid February which is a project that we will be looking toward housing up to 2 players/ coaches in the summer months, it is an exciting project and one which would potentially save the club money going forward regarding Accommodation etc. the idea would be to turn it into a 2 bed Apartment with Kitchen, Toilet and living Area! This building would be located directly behind the clubhouse(in the Area where the Container is located at the moment!). We will be moving the container down beside the nets which will make for easier access to training equipment etc. We have discussed and agreed also that with our outstanding grant monies we will be revamping our water and shower system in the club and we have secured favourable quotes on this work, plus we will be looking to erect a more suitable fence on the Skerries Road end of the ground and are presently looking over what would look well and be suitable. We will be replacing the old picnic benches in front of the clubhouse with 5 new ones and this will be a sponsored project I know some have already been sponsored but if your interested in taking one get in touch with any committee member for arrangements. All the above work as you can understand have different timelines but we are quietly confident that most of the above projects will be completed for this coming season and the prefab idea might take a little longer. Other Ideas are to extend the Patio Area by a few slabs and to construct a BBQ area toward the gable end of the clubhouse (towards the Scores Box side!) but with all the above mentioned we will need people on the ground helping to Help….Hopefully, we can get behind and support all the above projects in The Hills Cricket Club ……..We are building for the future of our club….and developing as we go! This message is for All our players supporters ,scorers and is also intended for a wider audience in Fingal and it’s surrounds where all the members of our local clubs are also invited.
As you will probably be aware, the Laws of Cricket were extensively revised last Autumn. These changes will come into effect for cricket in Ireland from April 2018. Over the winter,the Leinster Cricket Umpires and Scorers Association have been running training courses for umpires to ensure that they are all familiar with all these changes.
But now it’s time to ensure that the players and scorers are also familiar with the new laws. To do this, Leinster Cricket Umpires’ & Scorers’ Association is running a series of training evenings around Leinster, Your local session will be held in The Hills Cricket Club on the 5th and 12th March beginning at 19.30 each evening. This will be a two evening course which will provide training in ALL the laws of the game including all the revisions which will come into effect this coming season. This course is designed for ALL players and scorers – there are law changes which affect scorers as well – so please encourage all the members of your club to attend both evenings. Its Here AGAIN! Hardly seems like a year already but yep Christmas is almost upon us and with that in mind we would like to inform you of a few important events for your diary over the month of December.
It all kicks off on Sunday 10th Dec With one of Martin Byrne’s famous Tea Dances, this will obviously Christmas themed and The Big Man in the red suit is rumored to be coming down to put in an early appearance before he comes back to us on 17th…. Minced Pies, Christmas Cake and Mulled Wine to be provided – usual time from 3.00pm – 6.00pm €5.00 – All welcome, young and young at heart!!!
This Years Produce and Cake Sale will take place on Saturday 16th December between 10.00am and 2.00pm. Please support the club by availing of locally sourced fresh produce and homemade baking. We would love it if as many members as possible could help with the baked items. Sunday 17th December 3.00pm – The one we are all looking forward to as Santa Pays us a visit before he sets off from the North Pole on Christmas Eve and he will be bringing a little treat for all the boys and girls from The Hills. Seamus Clinton will be hosting our Annual Presidents dinner on Friday 17th November at 8.00pm in the clubhouse. This year’s guest speaker is a well known and much loved Leinster cricket legend. The one and only Richard ‘ Dick ‘ Forrest.
Dick is known very well in cricket circles and is a food friend of The Hills and has many a good story to tell.
A 3 course meal ( meal choice is available on ticket order ) including wine will be provided.
As we will be using outside caterers please let us know as soon as possible if you plan on attending.
