Dear Friend of The Hills Cricket Club,
We hope this finds you well, as Chairman of the Hills Cricket Club I am writing to you to invite you down to our club and also outline an upcoming sponsorship event that might be of interest to you and your business
We are one of Ireland’s strongest and most loved cricket clubs, situated just outside our lovely Skerries town. A family based club, which caters for ladies and men’s teams of all levels. We also boast a very strong underage section with both girls and boys sides. We were All Ireland Champions in 2012 and 2014. Many of our club members have represented Ireland and Leinster, from the senior national men’s team, down to the underage sides.

As outlined above we are holding our yearly golf day on 28th of July at the beautiful and challenging Skerries Golf Club. This is a great opportunity to advertise your business on the day and also on our well visited Facebook and website. Next weekend brings the annual Skerries 100 bike races to the ground. The Hills cricket club are nearly 60 years involved with the bikes. This is a major event in our calendar which needs a huge amount of club volunteers to make it happen. The club requests all members to help out over the Friday and Saturday in any way they can.
Next week will see the marquee go up in the car park for Thursday night. Friday the bar will open mid afternoon and a BBQ will run near the dressing rooms until late. A great band will play on the Friday night but we will need people to help run this day and night.
Saturday starts early with a clean up from Friday night and the set up of the Bar and BBQ in the marquee.
On Saturday we will require cleaners for an early start and burger flippers and food and drink runners to keep the marquee stocked and people to keep the place free of rubbish.
This weekend is very important for the club and many hands make light work. Please offer the club only 3 hours of your time for this weekend. More if you can. It’s a great fun filled few days and we hope you can spread the word to family and friends to make this event a great success. Your team captains will be in touch to give more details.
Our advice is to put your name down for a particular project as spots fill up quickly. Once again, I know the great members of our club will get behind this weekend and make it a huge success.

I appreciate that many of you have already paid your subscriptions but there are gaps in the lists of adult players where we’d prefer no gaps. It’s not easy to keep a club like ours afloat, especially considering the low level of membership fees we charge, so it is imperative that everyone pulls their weight and pays the appropriate amount. The Fantasy Club Cricket premise is simple:
You pick a team of players from your club and they’ll score you points based on how well they perform throughout the season. You compete with other players from your club who have entered teams and see who comes out on top come the end of the season. The hardest part is deciding who gets in your team!
It is €20 to enter a team. All funds go to the Hills cricket club. Please pay cash to Matthew Richards or if you prefer to do an online transfer pay into the following account:
