Please note that there are no fixtures scheduled for The Vineyard this weekend due to the Skerries 100 motor bike festival. Good luck to all our teams playing away fixtures.
The best of luck also to our friends at Loughshinny Motorcycle Supporters Club for a safe and successful race event.

The Skerries 100 motorbike festival is taking place on Saturday 4th and Sunday 5th July and this represents a major opportunity for the club to raise important funds.
We will not be doing any food catering this year so what we are looking for is people to help with gathering litter, stewarding of our facilities and generally being available to support the team manning the clubhouse and bar.
If you can spare and hour or two it would be greatly appreciated, as the saying goes ” many hands make light………”. Please let Andy McGirl know your availability on 353 85 714 8666.

Bathed in glorious sunshine our First X1 recorded a comprehensive 76 run victory over Terenure on Saturday. Batting first The Hills put on a big target of 339 runs for Terenure to chase. Best batting for The Hills were;
Yaseen Sherzad 50 off 47
Muzamill Sherzad 18 off 31
Liam Blackford 103 off 87 (13×4’S , 2×6’s)
Joe Fletcher 40 off 53
Nathan Rooney 59 off 34 (7×6’s, 1x 4)
Other contributors were; Killian McGrane 17 and Andy Kavanagh 11.
Killian McGrane led the charge with the bowling taking 3 for 51 off 10, Roxton Payne 3 for 61 off 10, Muzamil Sherzad an economical 0 for 32 off 8, Yaseen Sherzad, Andy Kavanagh and Haydon Clinton taking a wicket each and a very tidy spell of 4 overs for 27 from Daire Dooley. Terenure dismissed for 263.
Great to see the First X1 record a comprehensive win in this important fixture despite missing regular First X1 team players due to injuries and fielding 4 First X1 debutants, Hayden Clinton, Daire Dooley, Roxton Payne and Max Robertson.

The First X1 have secured their place in the Semi-Final of the Irish National Cup after a comprehensive win over Lurgan last weekend. Highlights of that game included;
Joe Fletcher 69
Nathan Rooney 41 off 25
Andrew Kavanagh 32 off 23
The Hills total was 238 for 8
Lurgan never really threatened the target and were dismissed for just 86 runs. The Hills bowlers were in fine form with three wickets apiece for Matthew Weldon, Tomás-Rooney Murphy and Killian McGrane.
Up next we have Ballyspallen away on the 19th of July in the semi-final.
