The First X1 have secured their place in the Semi-Final of the Irish National Cup after a comprehensive win over Lurgan last weekend. Highlights of that game included;

The Hills total was 238 for 8
Lurgan never really threatened the target and were dismissed for just 86 runs. The Hills bowlers were in fine form with three wickets apiece for Matthew Weldon, Tomás-Rooney Murphy and Killian McGrane.
Up next we have Ballyspallen away on the 19th of July in the semi-final.

The Hills/North County Under 13 Girls defeat Pembroke in the first round of their cup competetion.
Clubman of the weekend has to go to Sean Price who managed to play for the Third X1 and then to go on and captain the Fifth X1 on the same day! Still managed to get back to the club for a pint!
Centurian of the weekend
Leo Russell scored 101 not out for our Under 13’s Vs Tyrellstown in their Cup match. Legend indeed!

What a unique family event, seven members of the Clinton clan lined out for our fifth X1 Vs Carlow.

On a rainy Bank Holiday Monday Terenure set us a target of 202 off 37 overs. We progressed well with solid contributions from Muzamil and Yaseen Sherzad, Liam Blackford and Joe Fletcher. Nathan came to th crease with the score on 102 and 19 overs gone and continuing threats of rain and Duckworth Lewis Stern lurking all around.
What happened next can only be described as an extraordinary display of batting skill and power. Nathan took the game by the scruff of the neck despatching 8 sixes and 1 four for a total of 68 runs off just 34 balls. This innings brought the target within relatively easy reach with 6 overs to spare and 6 wickets in hand at the end.

The executive and members were saddened to hear of the recent passing of Mary Carroll. Mary, Nicky and their family have been great supporters of the club for many years.
We extend our deepest condolences and prayers to the family and friends on their loss at this sad time.
