It is with great sadness that we have to announce the death of our former head coach John Wills. John left an amazing legacy not just as a cricketing coach but also as kind hearted, engaging and generous human being.
Writing about the loss of John, Philip Smith, General Manager of Cricket Leinster noted “John remained very involved in cricket after his playing days were over and was in particular associated with many great successes at The Hills CC where he coached the club from 2005 to 2019 with great success including in the Irish Senior Cup on two occasions (2012 and 2014). His coaching work earned him the accolade as Coach of the Year in 2012. John also played a lead role in the development and delivery of the Coach Education programme from which many coaches emerged across the province”.
We will all miss you John especially here at The Hills.
