Ireland needed 4 runs to win the game and the series against Pakistan in Clontarf yesterday. The problem was there was only one ball left in the Irish innings. Jane Maguire came to the wicket to face that one and only ball and it was being delivered by one of the worlds best bowlers.
Jane decided that attack was the only option and bravely stepped down the track and despatched the ball for six over the bowlers head. Game over and two nil in the 3 game series to Ireland.
Well done Jane we are all so proud of your achievements. This one enters the history books.
