The First X1 travelled to Farmers Cross in Cork on Saturday to take on Cork Harlequins who batted first and made a strong 280 all out in 48 overs. Pick of the bowlers was Tomás Rooney Murphy who took 4 wickets for 39 off his 10 overs. Support came from Killian McGrane, Yaseen Sherzad with 2 wickets each and Cian Nulty with 1 for 52..

The Hills chase started shakily with 2 down for just 24 after 3 overs. Liam Blackford and Joe Fletcher steadied the ship getting to 109 before the next wicket fell. Liam went on to make a superb 161 not out (26 fours, 4 six’s). Support came from Joe Fletcher 23, Max Robertson 20 and Andrew Kavanagh 23 not out. We took the win by 5 wickets.
